This 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom home comfortably sleeps up to 5 guests, thanks to two additional loft sleeping areas. From the spiral staircase to the screened-in porch, every corner offers comfort, fun, and a touch of whimsy.

This was an amazing getaway in a perfect spot. Being on the river with all the amenities was great and a short drive to town and attractions was great. Overall, a great stay.We did see some ants.TV would not link to the server. We like to watch daily news shows, even when we are on vacation.

We wanted very much to like Our Happy Place but we were not happy with a few things that we experienced. First, though we had paid for early arrival, the door would not unlock with the Passcode when we got there. We made several phone calls and then the service desk was eventually able to remotely unlock the door. Second, on arrival we noted that the Eero wifi unit had a red light on it. We tried to sign onto the network, but there was no internet connection. We called the service desk, someone came out, but they were unable to fix the problem. We never did have a functioning internet. This meant that the television would not work either as it required a functioning internet connection. Third, the pool near the home was so overcrowded we did not use it and there weren't enough chairs/lounges for the number of people present.We did find the home to be clean; its location fine. The people who checked us in at the Welcome Center were very nice and provided helpful recommendations about local restaurants and places to go. We enjoyed using this home as a base from which we were able to visit and hike Starved Rock and Mathiessen State Parks.

We had a fabulous 6 night stay at “Our Happy Place” The house was very clean and appointed perfectly. The furnishings were comfortable and the decor was so welcoming. The views were great! So much to do right at Heritage Harbor. We highly recommend! Can hardly wait to come back.
