We truly enjoyed our stay at Splash Haven! We especially appreciate the complimentary coffee, dog treats, cleanliness of the house, comfortable beds and sofa, drinking coffee on the porch with the river close by and seeing an eagle fly over. It was very quiet. Parking was close by. Thank you Harbor Inn for making our visit so special.

We had a wonderful stay at Splash Haven. We have been coming to Heritage Harbor for over 10 years. We rent a minimum of 4 houses; this year we rented 5. Staff from checking us in, to any questions we had during our stay were very helpful and friendly. The house was very neat and clean, ready for us to move right in.

Great home with a great location. Clean, comfortable, just enough space for our family of 6. The kids loved being next to the pool, the harbor was fun to walk around, the event night party on the dock was a great surprise. This location is a good distance from Starved Rock, Buffalo State Park, and Matthiesen. Highly recommend!

The house was perfect for our family including our pup. They even had some dog supplies including large dog crate! We will definitely be back for a longer stay.

My husband and I stay in a cottage every Christmas with our dogs to be close to family. This was a very clean, pet-friendly house we would stay in again!

This house is stocked really well with anything you need. It did have a very bad odor like sewage backup that I called about when I checked-in and I never received a response. I ended up just opening windows and lighting a candle to try to minimize the pungent smell. While I love the area, the location and everything the Harbor has to offer, I am a bit disappointed that my concern was not addressed. Softsoap in the restrooms filled with water, so just some quality issues that could be addressed. Thank you for the opportunity to provide a review.

We originally booked a different unit and due to a repair issue we had to be relocated at the last minute. This unit was adequate and met our needs but certainly was not our first choice. The process of choosing the second unit was not a smooth one. We were left on phone hold for a long time and actually had to end the call without a response. We do realize that this was a repair issue and beyond staff’s control but expected better service with the change to a different unit. Splash Haven has the appearance of being a well used unit. I’m sure it is popular with families that want close access to the pool. We were looking for a unit with better upkeep. The grounds were lovely and we did enjoy spending time sitting by the river.

This was our 2nd time vacationing at Heritage Harbor. We love it there! Splash Haven is a little outdated. And the house was not very clean so I had to do some cleaning. We did have a nice time though and will be back!

Guest service and check in was very friendly. It was easy to find our house and it was extremely clean and filled with useful items from stacks of towels, box of bandaids, pet leaches. Entering the house it smelled great and was very pleasant. I liked the gift boxes in each bathroom. Enjoyed both porches throughout our time. One of the upstairs porch chairs is broken though. We liked walking by the water and I was glad it is built so ducks aren’t all over the sidewalk, it keeps it clean. Pool wasn’t too busy and it was always very clean. Sometimes trash and doggy bins were lacking and needed to be emptied more often, they start to smell and they’re next to the house and pool. I would say there could definitely be more accessibly and more ramps, especially to the office. Would have liked a path down to the water behind the houses. Anyways we still had a great time for a great price and would absolutely come back and stay here again. Thank you for the experience

30 Presbyterian pastors from across the U.S. stayed throughout the Heritage Harbor Resort in 14 different units, mostly in Navvy Town. Without exception, every space was beautiful, clean, well equipped, and beautifully situated. Sherayne and Rich we’re perfect hosts making our stay exceptional. I would highly recommend this resort.
