Meet the Heritage Harbor team

Rich Crum
Director of Hospitality
Hi my name is Rich and I want to be the first to welcome you to Harbor Inn and Heritage Harbor.
I am originally from Starved Rock Country, so visiting Starved Rock State Park and Buffalo State Park was a weekly treat! Our family reunions at Illini State Park was a yearly tradition. I am happy to call Starved Rock Country home!
So what’s my favorite thing at Heritage Harbor? That’s a tough question, there are so many things to do here. I really enjoy live music so whether it’s taking in the acoustic music at the tiki bar or attending a Harbor Stories Unplugged Concert inside Bluegill Boathouse & Marina Bar. I also enjoy taking a stroll down to Knot’s Landing and listening to a band while the boats are coming in for the evening after a long day on the Illinois River.
Our Harbor Inn Team is the best in Starved Rock Country and we can’t wait for you to experience the Harbor Life!
Sherayne fritz
Housekeeping Operations Manager
Hey there, fabulous guests of Harbor Inn! I’m Sherayne, your Housekeeping Operations Manager and resident happiness expert. I’m the behind-the-scenes magician making sure your home-away-from-home is spotless, sparkling, and ready for you to relax and enjoy.
Think of me as your comfort curator—fluffing pillows, fine-tuning every detail, and leading our incredible housekeeping team with a sprinkle of charm and a whole lot of heart. Whether it’s perfecting that fresh linen feel or ensuring every corner of your room welcomes you with a warm embrace, I’m here to make sure your stay is as flawless as it is memorable.
When I’m not orchestrating the magic behind every cleaned room and polished surface, you’ll find me spreading smiles, sharing laughs, and making sure every guest experience is as refreshing as our river breeze. Because here at Harbor Inn, we believe a clean space is the starting point for unforgettable memories—and a little bit of fun makes everything better.
With me leading the housekeeping team, you can rest easy (literally!) knowing your stay will be comfortable, carefree, and full of good vibes. Let the good times—and the fresh towels—roll!

Jackie Davidson
Marketing Manager
As Marketing Manager for Harbor Inn, I bring a creative vision, a splash of personality, and a touch of magic to this unique riverside destination. Being a long time area resident, I offer a deep understanding of the charm and allure of Starved Rock Country and Ottawa’s vibrant downtown. I’m dedicated to showcasing all that Harbor Inn and its surroundings have to offer. Fueled by a passion for storytelling and a love for all things local, I thrive on sharing experiences that spark joy, adventure, and a sense of home. My goal? To make Harbor Inn a place where everyone can feel like they’re part of something special, creating memorable experiences that invite guests to explore, relax, and make lasting memories!
A little about me — I’m proud to be a lifelong resident of Ottawa. I love the small-town charm, friendly faces, and all the hidden gems that make this area so special. When I’m not creating content or highlighting the best of Starved Rock Country, you’ll often find me enjoying local shops, trying new restaurants, or exploring nearby parks and trails with my husband and our two dogs. Whether it’s a peaceful walk through nature or a new spot downtown, I’m always finding fresh inspiration in the community I’m lucky to call home.
Ahlora Sbarbaro
Reservationist and retail Lead
As Harbor Inn’s Reservationist and Retail Lead, I love being part of the first impression our guests have when they arrive. I combine my passion for people with my dedication to making every stay seamless, stress-free, and memorable. Whether I’m assisting with reservations, helping guests settle in, or sharing my favorite local recommendations, I take pride in ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and cared for.
Along with my work in reservations, I also manage the retail side of Harbor Inn. I enjoy helping guests browse the shop and finding just what they need—whether it’s a cozy piece of Harbor Inn merchandise, a practical item for their stay, or a little something to remember their visit by. For me, retail is another way to connect with guests and add value to their experience.
Originally from a very small town, I moved to the Ottawa area over three years ago and quickly fell in love with the charm and beauty of Starved Rock Country. I love sharing that passion with guests by pointing them toward the area’s must-see spots and hidden gems. My goal is always to help guests feel not just like visitors, but like part of our community.
When I’m not greeting guests or supporting the team at Harbor Inn, you’ll often find me near the water, curled up with a good book, or enjoying a bit of shopping. But most importantly, I’m a proud mom—a role that brings me the greatest joy and shapes the care, patience, and kindness I share with everyone I meet.
What I enjoy most about my role is the variety—no two days are ever the same. From helping plan a guest’s stay to assisting with the perfect purchase in the shop, I love that my position gives me the chance to make a positive impact in many different ways. I look forward to welcoming you on your next stay at Harbor Inn!

Felipe Guerrero
Guest and Property Maintenance Coordinator
My name is Felipe, and I’m the Guest and Property Maintenance Coordinator at Harbor Inn. My job is to make sure every home is in pristine condition for your stay and that any maintenance issues are taken care of quickly and thoroughly. I also manage our golf carts and bikes, making sure they’re ready for you to enjoy during your time with us. My goal is to help create a smooth, stress-free experience so you can focus on relaxing and making great memories at Harbor Inn!
A little about me — I’m a lifelong local to this area. Although I moved away for a few years, I eventually came back because I missed everything that makes Starved Rock Country so special — the beautiful river views, the peaceful atmosphere, and the strong sense of community. When I’m not making sure everything is guest-ready, you’ll often find me outdoors, fishing, hiking, or exploring new parts of the area I call home. If you see me around the Welcome Center or out on property, don’t hesitate to say hello — I’m always happy to help make your stay the best it can be!
